Suzanne is a passionate healthcare executive who, with a continuous focus on strategic execution, operational excellence, and building relationships, joined John Randolph Medical Center in July 2013 as the Chief Executive Officer. John Randolph Medical Center, a HCA hospital, is a 147 bed medical surgical facility founded in 1915 in the City of Hopewell, Virginia. John Randolph Medical Center is a nationally recognized healthcare provider serving the TriCities and surrounding communities. The hospital has been recognized three consecutive years as one of the Joint Commission’s Top Performing Hospitals, recognized by the American Association of Respiratory Care, operates a certified stroke and chest pain emergency room, accredited oncology program through the American College of Surgeons and recently received the Joint Commission accreditation for total hip and knee replacement programs.

A native of Skokie, Illinois, Suzanne has been with HCA since 2002. Prior to her current role, Suzanne served as the Chief Executive Officer of Dominion Hospital, Chief Operating Officer at West Palm Hospital as well as the Associate Administrator at both Westside Regional Medical Center and Aventura Hospital & Medical Center. Suzanne started her career as a healthcare consultant in the Chicago office of Cap Gemini Ernst & Young after receiving a master’s degree in Health Services Administration from the University of Michigan and bachelor’s degree from the University of Illinois - Champaign.

Suzanne possesses a strong commitment to community service and professional development. Suzanne was recognized as one of Success South Florida’s “Top 25 Influential Black Women of 2006”, “Who’s Who is Black South Florida 2007”, featured on Executive Leaders Radio Program in 2012 and interviewed for Volume Five of Profile in Success published in 2013. Over her career she has worked many organizations including: United Way, Rotary Club, Fairfax Partnership for Youth, Delta Sigma Theta Sorority Inc., CrisisLink, the Northern Virginia Area Health Education Center, Virginia State University Industry Council and AHA’s Institute for Diversity in Healthcare Management Board of Directors. Additionally, Suzanne has participated with local and statewide leadership and advocacy programs such as Leadership Arlington and Lead Virginia.

A Fellow in the American College of Healthcare Executives she has continued to promote excellence in healthcare management through local involvement with both ACHE as well as NAHSE.

Suzanne and her husband, Corey, have two daughters, Taylor, 4, and Zoe, 2. She enjoys photography, traveling, and spending time with family and friends.
